Yearly fellowship, open to congregation and family members. A time of abundant feast and fellowship for all. Organizations of the church take pride in supplying their special dish and all look forward to the fried fish and barbqued chicken. Our cookout is traditionally the Saturday before the beginning of our annual summer revival. We invite you to come and join us for this fun filled occasion.

  Historical Committee
Saundra Boswell
Historical Committee is a group of church members, providing evidence of the history of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Hampton, Virginia. The group collects bulletins of church services, resolutions, programs, pictures, obituaries, histories of each organization and documents provided by fellow church members.There is data on file from 1957 to present in chronological order. The committee is in the process of writing a book about Bethel.

The intercessory ministry prays for the individual and collective needs of the church. Persons who are not members of Bethel may also submit prayer requests and be assured that someone will pray for their needs. The ministry also provides training and opportunities for practical application of specific aspects of prayer.

We are the Men of the church. All male members of our church are Sons of Allen and as such are welcome to take part in all that we do. We provide moral support and keep a watchful eye on the senior men of the church. We provide christian fellowship to all men and all men are welcomed to attend our breakfast at 8:00am on the first Sunday of each month. We provide an enviroment where men can come together and openly discuss issues of concern. We also oversee the Human resources Skills Database and Computer Learning Services.

Week of study and fellowship (usually the 3rd week in June). Study groups are lead by motivated energetic instructors who make the fun and inspiational. There are special activities for the younger age groups to include crafts, skits and music instruction. Classes available for all age groups, and snacks are provided. Come out and share with the Bethel family and bring your friends.
